New York Fishing Reports

Capt Steven’s Captain’s Choice Ultra Limited – Wed June 5 to Sun June 9

Day 1 – We fought the weather while Fluking at Nantucket Schoals. It was very good for the first 6 hours, then the tide turned and the water temperature dropped 4 degrees with the ebb tide and the bite got very slow.

Day 2 – We went Cod fishing and it was a beautiful day, but not a lot to show for it. We then hit a few wrecks and had a shot of Cod and Bergalls. Definitely slow on the Cod front.

Day 3 – Tile fishing was very very good! The majority of the day was clean Tile with more than half the boat having double headers at the same time. We saw more Bluelines on this trip with some up to 12 lbs!

All in all it was a great trip with a great group of guys. Honorable mention goes out to 16 year old David Weakes who out caught all on hand crank and had the largest Tile at 34.6 lbs!

Fluke Pool – Bob Gregson – 10.2 lbs
Tile Pool – Chris Hoops – 32.2 lbs
Cod Pool – Ron Armet – 24.4 lbs
Edible Pool – Ron Armet – 14.2 lb Pollock
