Ceramic Coatings Can Keep your boat like new

There are many Ceramic coatings on the market. Which did he use? I tried Griots 3-in-1 Ceramic spray. Nice shine. But not too sure it held up better than Collinite.

Porgy Rigs Plain Jane or Bells and Whistles?

Do you fish with friends? Then have on plain jane. The other with all the beads and flashy hardware. See who out fishes who. I do this with fluke too. One gets pink, one gets white and one gets green.

Don't Forget to Register your Boat Trailer

I go a ticket many years ago too. Its an easy ticket to write. Nobody to argue with you. Just and empty trailer and truck. But can't complain too much as keeping your registration currect is a requirement.

    GPS advice needed

That was super helpful. So even if I get a Dezl product, I have to tell the GPS my Tundra is over 7,000 pounds.

    GPS advice needed

I have a Garmin NUVI 2599LMTHD. Admittedly I like the unit. The one issue is that occasionally I take my truck and boat trailer out of state. I am not allowed on Parkways. My issue the 2599LMTHD does not know I am not allowed on Parkways and will plot a course that includes them. I need a unit...

Buoys and launching points for the Sound

Thanks! 7 is a bit of a haul for Mount Sinai. I have done it once. I may look to stay in my "backyard" ( B11 or B9) and look for new spots. I did fish the Mattituck area and did OK. I guess Celtic Quest goes there for a reason. State Ramp in Mattituck seems like a possibllity, I may...

    Reel parts question

I have a PENN Slammer III Spinning Fishing Reel; I believe it is the 4500. I usually fish with 10-pound test. I find that good for fluke, Black Sea Bass and Striped bass However, I am going black fishing with a friend and may want to load a higher pound test line. Anyone know where I can...

Buoys and launching points for the Sound

Looking to try some new (to me) areas. I get the Town of Brookhaven sticker and usually leave from the Mount Sinai ramp. If I want to fish buoy 11 I can leave from the Port Jeff ramp. If I want to fish buoy 9, I can leave from Mount Sinai ramp. Any spots that anyone can launch from to get to...

    How much to tip?

I put that and "tip" in the search engine. Nothing. Surprised this never was asked before. If you charter a boat, lets say for the sake of this discussion, it cost $1,000 a day trip. How much do you tip. Lets also say, the service you got was good. I have been on a few boats and the service...

O.K., Not really a ITT subject, BUT - New Limits?

I went to the Freeport show yesterday and bought a bunch of stuff that I didn't really need. I saw the NYS booth. There was a very nice young lady. She told me fluke would stay the same. Porgy and BSB will face undetermined changes. Plus I asked about another sore topic....Fishing licenses...

O.K., Not really a ITT subject, BUT - New Limits?

Really? I have a question. What % of hooked fluke die after being "catch and release"???? Fisherman will catch a lot of fluke and few will be in the >20.5 range. Does the question make sense?
