    Current and Blackfish

I find the bite is often slow when the tide is slack, but sometimes they bite all day and through the tide change and would follow my boat on anchor even as it swung from east/west to west/east. sometimes they bite best near the changes. sometimes they bite through the slack sometimes the bite...

Biodegradable Shrink Wrap - You guys seeing this?

Maybe they should start trying to convince people to serve the used wrap in restaurants with green crabs?

where have all the big seabass gone? It's nice to see at least a picture of one over 20" and with a knot on its head!

that was pretty cool. I am always unsure about chumming up tog. I'm afraid of drawing in porgies or too many small fish. But perhaps the small fish draw in the bigger fish. I might try chumming with mussels.

I'm on by buddy's boat on the south shore over some rubble in one of the local artificial reefs. We're getting life as soon as the jig got to the bottom and plenty of shorts. Then my jig goes weightless. I swing, but the tip stays down, the rod doubles over and the fish takes some drag. I get...

2025 MD Striped Bass Young of Year Assessment - Make that 7 consecutive spawn failures!!

My two cents: We need to find out why spawning results have been poor. Let's assume the 7 years of poor spawning success has at least some accuracy. As Roccus says, unless we get to the root of the problem, we are not going to fix it. They could ban all bass fishing, but if pollution, loss of...

I wonder if they would work on a 21' boat. Also, I have a pair of transducers coming of the starboard and port chines. Would these interfere with that?

    The oldest Clam

Clamity So they did not know how old it was when they opened it up and some of the clams we eat may be over 100?! Another shellfish fun fact - my understanding is that shucking an oyster does not kill it immediately, such that we are eating live oysters. Creepy, but delicious!

    Jets

The only reason I watched was because I hate the Cowboys. The Jets were driving down the field for the tie, fumbled the ball, and then everyone gave up until garbage time when the Cowboys were no longer trying that hard. Their O line is awful, the defense gets no rush on the QB, and now I see...

Green crab soup and climate change

Personally, I think bait, fertilizer and animal feed are better solutions than trying to convince us to eat those things!

I have my grandfather's, which he used in his job as a wallpaper hanger when he was done painting Navy ship hulls in Brooklyn. Looks kind of like that one.

Actually, no. My recollection was almost anything I really wanted to see was sold out. Plus, despite the high prices these days, I can afford them a lot more than I could afford anything back then!
