BB/Pellet pistols

Haven't heard of the updated regs. But as far as I remember ammo and gun have to be separated. Ie; ammo in trunk, gun locked in front seat. Glove box etc
Not sure if bb/pellet is same

I think it might be the other way around. Gun in the trunk or the back of an SUV, ammo in the glove box. But as long as they're separated.

AFAIK it's illegal to discharge a BB or pellet gun in Suffolk except at a range. I tried looking up the law, but Suffolk only seems to have laws post 2000ish on their site. I remember that being passed, probably in the late '80s. No pellet guns, arrows, slingshots etc.

Transportation is probably the same BS about gun locked in a box, but I couldn't find any specifics for BB/pellet there either.

I have no idea how I missed seeing this. Avenger is correct. Transporting a BB or pellet pistol is probably not a problem. But shooting it ? Hah ! Unless you are in your basement or live in the middle of "the back 40". you will probably run afoul of the "no discharge of a firearm (which the idiots in Albany and SE NY claim a BB gun to be) within 500 feet of an occupied dwelling. Although I haven't in a while, I can use my basement for a 33' range into a steel angled trap for pellets.

If I'm rocking a ghillie suit in the low light on the south side of the prop I have a 100 -110' range

I remember you could take a ride out to Suffolk County and walk into the woods and go skeet shooting. That was in the 1970's, shot for a few hours.
I remember having the family boat out in Star Island Yacht Club in Montauk in 1972, 1973. We went out there each weekend and we kids went into the woods next door and shot our 1894 Daisy Lever action rifles for hours. Also had a Crossman M1 Carbine BB gun that looked so real. Now they make fake looking BB guns that aren't fun anymore .
Man, if a kid can't go outside and shoot his BB gun in a backyard, a vacant field this state is all messed up.
