Captain's Table - Gift from the Weatherman

With the number of fishable days in my Tog season fading fast I had to take advantage of Wednesday’s gift from the weatherman. My good friends Lep and Mitch from the board joined me as we headed straight to Fishers on a flat calm sea.

As has been the pattern now for my last 3 trips all I needed was one drop and the fish found our hooks with ease. We enjoyed a steady pick of Tog all morning boating our limit to 5.25# by 11 am. No real biggies on this trip although, as is typical, we did break off a couple of heavyweights that were determined not to be caught! Pete also landed one real nice Sea Bass to top off the catch on a short but very satisfying day.

So, naturally as the fishing heats up the wind starts to blow even harder. I have already cancelled 3 trips in a row starting today. I hope I can finish my season with at least one or 2 more trips surrounding the holiday. Happy Thanksgiving to all and if you are still floating, the Tog are out there, just be safe getting to them!
