I have only one wish for Santa this year. Bring back the Fluke fishing in the Lloyd Neck to Smithtown Bay area to what it was in the early to mid 2000's. I don't have much hope for this but if anyone can do it Santa can. Right?

regards Holty

I would take the same exact thing. You never know I'll go with something I know can be found - a new high res chip for my Garmin and a spot lock :)

I can't afford it.

I would like that also, I would also like a season with no engine problems and the end of this pandemic.
Sorry , that's more than one wish.

What's the difference? Boat speed from one to the other species is more effective.
Positioning - one species is more agile and the other clumsy.
Conditions - knowing what works best, this all betters your odds.

Rods and reels while trolling and chunking can be fine tuned for angler comfort.
Don't mistake one for the other.
A 50 wide national or tiagra can be used for both. minimum canyon requirements.

On your compact reel with JB spectra. while trolling. I don't care how strong your drag is.
This is what I heard. I'M GETTING SPOOLED!

A chunk line while drifting and the drag set high, that's a different story.
;)
