I'm confused as well.

I don't ever use a bait rod to fish lures so a quick switch isn't needed. IMHO, A second rigged rod that is designed for casting is the better option.

Besides, Id rather cut my line and tie a new rig if I had to. My eyes are too bad to figure out that ff..lol

Bottom line is use whatever you're comfortable with.
