Well it’s finally here, as of 11:54 AM EDT the Summer Solstice will occur and the world will tilt in the proper orientation for a few months ? . After all this wet weather we will be rewarded with sunshine by about 6PM. Coincidently right about the time I’ll be pushing off the dock. I’ll take that as a sign.

The Pagan in me will be doing my annual Solstice Sunset tradition of fishing as the first summer sun sets into the Sound. Last year it was not a good day. My favorite day of the year turned on me, and effectively took down my summer. I can only figure it was because I did not pay proper homage. I won’t make that mistake again!!

Although the beach bonfire won’t be until tomorrow night, we will make due. You know these rituals, the start out all nice and wholesome then…...escalate rather quickly
