That's a bunch of hours on a gas engine, for sure. However, assuming it doesn't burn oil, those kind of hours are indicative of an owner that takes excellent care of his boat - and doesn't push it to be a speedboat, which no Shamrock is. A quick compression test would tell the story, regarding remaining engine life. I bet she's got at least another 500 to 800 hours left in her. Those recent repairs and upgrades are all in about $1500 in parts alone - not counting labor.
Also, the beam is 8', not 8'6". Still, a very nice boat that can really take the punishment of a bad day offshore - for relatively short money. I've had mine for 26 seasons, so I do know this hull's capabilities fairly well.
