Just got back from the lighthouse, the waves are NUTS!! Honest to Poseidon 30 footers in there, biggest waves I've ever seen, but I'm guessing @Old Mud has seen better!!

Looks like a typical night surfcasting under the Montauk Lighthouse during a storm. Just a LITTLE BIGGER. Been there done that.

Just got a phone call I was expecting from a tour company...

Our March Japan tour has been cancelled. The original departure date was March 2020, which was delayed until March 2021 and then March 2022, thanks to a RNA Virus of note. We and our friends who are coming along are debating about rebooking sometime in 2023 or just saying screw it and cashing out. The tour company has been sitting on our payments for 3 years now.

My vote on this doesn't really count as I've been to Japan 10 times for business, so if I don't go, no sweat on me, as it's not on my bucket list. The Admiral has wanted to go, as do our friends, and I'm always up for some good biru (Asahi Extra Dry), sushi, and a trip to the Karaoke Bar (NOT the KARY-OAK-EE Bar. Damn Gaijin can't pronounce it properly). One of the team pointed out the possibility that this extended travel slump may cause some travel companies to go tits up, and we could lose some, or all of our money.

Guess I'll cash out. When things turn around, we can always rebook. Now there's a fall Elbe River Cruise to watch and see if it "goes viral" too...

yesterday we did buy a new fridge,,,,,,,but the deliver date is saturday,,,,,,,the old fridge is holding its own,, its still running so so ,, i hear it buzzing ,, frezzer is frozen pretty good still,, the fridge temp is kind of low ,, its on its way out,,but still ok for now,,,, 3 more days ??,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,><))):

Thats good to hear 'cuz for awhile there was a major backlog on getting new appliances
