Finally breathing. My sacred fishing hat needed a cleaning per a directive from "The Admiralty", a process that's always a scary event lest the luck get washed away. I grabbed the old plastic frame and got ready to put it in the dishwasher when I noticed a warning on the hat, "DO NOT WASH DRY CLEAN ONLY"

WTF???? NFW I'm going to dry clean a fishing hat and even if I did want to the nearest dry cleaner is an 80 mile round trip. So I loaded it into the dishwasher, with the admonishment "There better not be any dishes in there!" from the Admiral, set it on "China and Crystal" cycle, made some sacrifices to Poseidon, and hit START.

An hour later with my heart in my throat, I delicately opened the door. To my delight my worse fears were not realized, the hat was nice, clean and intact. We'll see if the luck factor has remained over the next few days...

My favorite hat just literally melted away. Disintegrated. I now just keep on the boat, but in the market for a new one!

Debating on whether or not to head down to the boat @ 06:00 when I have enough water to fish or just bag it because it's raining... A 06:00 cast off will mean a 1 hour commitment before I have enough water to get back as docking requires more water than a direct, bottom-cleaning departure...

Well that was a quick trip, at 06:00 dutifully got the foul weather gear on, opened the door and took 2 steps when thunderclaps started rolling away.

Considered things and decided it was probably time to "Adult" and Abort...

Now I'm bored silly, as I'm Olympiced out and I've done all my daily games.
