Whats going on in the World

Why would you sabotage your own country?? These people truly are sick.

The courts also demanded he stopped forgiving student loans since he doesn't have the authority (you know, not being a dictator and all). That didn't stop him.

Interesting piece on X

Illegal immigration isn't just some abstraction.
It's directly affected me and my family several times in the last 12 months. And the local authorities don't want to do anything about it.

About a year ago I'm driving to the gym. I'm stopped at a light when an illegal t-bones my truck. I was concussed, didn't remember the hit. But I saw her coming at me. I think it was her 1st time behind the wheel.

And of course she didn't have any insurance. Or a license, or registration, or any other kind of ID. The traffic cop who was investigating visited me in the ER to take a report. I asked if he arrested her. He said he no. He told me he deals with uninsured illegals all day every day and the system can't handle it.

I asked him if if she's actually who she said she was. He just shrugged. Said there's no way to know.
So he let her go. And she disappeared.

I talked to the DA's office. Said I wanted her prosecuted and deported. The lady I was talking to, who had a thick hispanic accent, told me to hold on. And then she hung up.

I never got a call back and they wouldn't take my calls. It was too much of a hot button issue and they don't want to deal. And I have to wonder if the lady I spoke with was an illegal too.

The truck was totaled. I had to get a rental car while they sorted out the claim. Among other things, I need transpo to get to doctors appointments and PT. It was getting expensive and I wanted find out if the car that hit me (which was not owned by the driver) had some sort of insurance.

Nobody could tell me if the car had insurance. But the address was on the title. It was a house on the other side of town. So I figured, f*** it, I'll just go over and ask.I knocked on the door. A nice lady answered. I told her what was going on and she told me a crazy story...

The car that hit me belonged to her uncle who passed away 5 years prior. After he died they sold it to their mechanic. But he never got a new title and sold it to someone else. She didn't know how many times the car had been sold or how many hands it had passed through in the last 5 years. It was just loaned out and passed around, without title registration or insurance, until it came crashing into me.

I'm sure that's how things work in whatever village the woman who hit me came from. There's no such thing as a "title" or "insurance". You just borrow shit. And if you crash, well then that's sad but life is cheap here and things happen. It's turd world stuff, but they're doing it here now.

It turned out investigators from my insurance company had already been to this woman's house, and now they were suing her for damages. She was desperately trying to figure out how to prove they sold the car to the mechanic 5 years prior. She was a lovely lady. We bonded over being victims of the same illegal.

Again, that was about a year ago. I haven't heard anything from the DA or the lady who hit me. I'm still in pain and I'll probably never be the same.

I'm one thing, and I can deal. But what really pisses me off is when my kids are f****d with. The elementary schools in our area are K-5. There's a great one in our neighborhood that my younger son attended. He was looking forward to starting 5th grade this year, but due to overcrowding (because of the influx of immigrants) they decided they didn't have room for the 5th grade class. So for 5th grade my son and his classmates were sent to a middle school instead. There's a big size/age/maturity difference between a 5th grader and an 8th grader. We were apprehensive, but my son wanted to be with his friends and we were assured the 5th graders wouldn't intermingle with the older kids. But of course they were intermingling, and the big kids were picking on the younger kids.

The academics were f****d too. Something like 80% of the students were testing below grade level, and one third of the school was comprised of "newcomers" (what the school calls them) who didn't speak ANY English. Many of these kids have never been in any type of school. And they weren't getting educated at home. Most (if not all) of the parents are illiterate. Not only do they not speak English, they don't speak Spanish fluently. At home they speak the indigenous languages of Central America. The class translators (every class has a translator) can't even translate for these kids.

I complained to the principle. She was defensive and denied there was an issue. Thankfully we have school choice in our area, so we started looking for a new school. But before we could get him enrolled the school decided to retaliate. They said he "assaulted" the class translator and was drawing violent imagery (he was drawing halloween skeletons).

I pulled him that day. He's in a much better school with English speakers, and he's thriving. But it was a f****d up situation. It's not good for a child to go through something like that--and it was completely unnecessary if not for the crush of immigrants. And then today I find out that someone (most likely an illegal) is using my older son's social security number for employment at a Taqueria 2 hours away from our town.

We'll get it sorted. But it won't be easy. And it's upsetting that this would never have happened if the Federal government had been doing their job keeping the border secure and making sure there was no employment fraud.

Thank god Trump won, but January 20th can't come soon enough. I really hope things change, and I hope it changes quickly. This situation is not sustainable. And it's a tragedy. Not just for me and my family, but for the immigrants too. They need to go back.

Dumb Dynasty: Don Jr.’s new girlfriend is causing drama in Trumpland

Donald Trump Jr.’s romantic life has been dominating tabloid headlines ahead of his father’s second term.
The son of felon-elect Donald Trump was once part of a power couple with MAGA-loving Kimberly Guilfoyle. But since August, rumors of the end of their relationship have been plastered across gossip sites as allegations of Don Jr.’s cheating began to circulate.
As Daily Kos previously reported, Guilfoyle and Don Jr. were hoping to keep their scorned relationship under wraps until inauguration to not take any attention away from daddy dearest.
Guilfoyle even reportedly turned a blind eye to the cheating in an attempt to not ruffle feathers. Conveniently, or potentially as a condolence present, Trump announced just 24 hours after headlines hit that he would be sending Guilfoyle to Greece to serve as ambassador in his administration.
Now that Don Jr. is out in the open with his new girlfriend, Palm Beach socialite Bettina Anderson, more unrest seems to be bubbling up from within.
The New York Post cited internal sources who believe Anderson is cozying up with Don Jr. just to gain a cushy philanthropic position in his father’s administration.
According to the tabloid, Anderson has been schmoozing others at Trump’s home, vying for a spot on the President’s Committee on the Arts and Humanities. The source added that Anderson was overheard telling some White House decision makers that she could appeal to “the more sophisticated and liberal Hamptons and Palm Beach types of people.”
Don Jr.’s spokesperson vehemently denied these claims.
Speaking of Anderson’s liberal appeal, the internet sleuths did what they do best after the socialite was thrust into the political spotlight. Old posts displaying Anderson’s support for Black Lives Matter and COVID-19 preventative measures began circulating last week.
Despite the squawking coming from all directions, Anderson seems to be making some PR attempts to meld more with the Trump family. This past week, she posted photos of herself hunting, and she sported a red dress to the Trump family Christmas dinner—the color now popularly associated with MAGA.
While everything unfolding sounds like just another tabloid story, the drama connected to Don Jr. is just one of many examples of the turmoil already surrounding Trump.
Trump’s son is making headlines for his trysts while his former Attorney General pick Matt Gaetz was outed for paying for sex with a 17-year-old. And if that isn’t enough, Trump’s secretary of defense pick Pete Hegseth has been dubbed a womanizer and drunkard while his “first buddy” Elon Musk is getting into fights with his MAGA teammates.
As we get closer to Trump’s second term, the line between tabloid and political reporting is getting more and more blurry.

Trump’s Idiot Son Feels “Totally Vindicated” Over J.D. Vance Pick

This shouldn't be considered political, so do you think the US should/can purchase Greenland ?
Did a little research- according to a 2009 law, the people of Greenland can declare independence from Denmark if they wish and only the people of Greenland will decide that. 57,000 people live on Greenland and 75 percent of their budget is money from Denmark. 67 percent said in a recent poll they'd like to declare independence from Denmark, but 76 percent said if it affected their standard of livings they wouldn't vote to declare independence.
So, if the US offered to pay every citizen of Greenland $10 million each , gave them US Citizenship if they requested it, Defended them, gave them a percentage of all the minerals, oil/gas extracted and maybe promised Greenland there wouldn't be a mad dash up there to develop it , unless they agreed to it.
China and Russia would love to get their hands on Greenland , The US can get rare earth minerals and gas/oil and be right there in the Artic to protect our interests.
So what do you think ? Sounds like the people on Greenland care way more about their standard of living than anything else. They'd be set for life and things would remain the same they are now.

Trump appears to side with Musk, tech allies in debate over foreign workers roiling his supporters

now they like immigrants!!!!!! S U C K E R S!!

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) — President-elect Donald Trump appears to be siding with Elon Musk and his other backers in the tech industry as a dispute over immigration visas has divided his supporters.

Trump, in an interview with the New York Post on Saturday, praised the use of visas to bring skilled foreign workers to the U.S. The topic has become a flashpoint within his conservative base.

“I’ve always liked the visas, I have always been in favor of the visas. That’s why we have them,” Trump said.

In fact, Trump has in the past criticized the H-1B visas, calling them “very bad” and “unfair” for U.S. workers. During his first term as president, he unveiled a “Hire American” policy that directed changes to the program to try to ensure the visas were awarded to the highest-paid or most-skilled applicants.

Despite his criticism of them and attempts to curb their use, he has also used the visas at his businesses in the past, something he acknowledged in his interview Saturday.

“I have many H-1B visas on my properties. I’ve been a believer in H-1B. I have used it many times. It’s a great program,” Trump told the newspaper.

He did not appear to address questions about whether he would pursue any changes to the number or use of the visas once he takes office Jan. 20.

Trump’s hardline immigration policies, focused mostly on immigrants who are in the country illegally, were a cornerstone of his presidential campaign and a priority issue for his supporters.

But in recent days, his coalition has split in a public debate largely taking place online about the tech industry’s hiring of foreign workers. Hard-right members of Trump’s movement have accused Musk and others in Trump’s new flank of tech-world supporters of pushing policies at odds with Trump’s “America First” vision.

Software engineers and others in the tech industry have used H-1B visas for skilled foreign workers and say they are a critical tool for hard-to-fill positions. But critics have said they undercut U.S. citizens who could take those jobs. Some on the right have called for the program to be eliminated.

ROFLMFAO!!! ELON IS THE SHOT CALLER GIRLS

Fox News admits that Trump’s take on H-1B visas ‘left a lot of people confused’

President-elect’s support of Elon Musk’s position on highly skilled immigrants at odds with wishes of much of his political base

Yesterday afternoon, the president-elect came out in support of Musk and the latter argument, saying he had always been a “believer” in the program and had employees at his properties in the country on H-1B visas.

During the campaign and in his first term he had been against it, so the about-face has confused some of his core supporters.

This schism in MAGAworld, before Trump even re-enters the White House, is awkward leaving Fox News tip-toeing through something of a minefield, as Mediaite reported.

Co-host Rachel Campos-Duffy noted that the president-elect coming out in favor of the H-1B visa “left a lot of people confused.”

In shift, Trump downgrades soaring rhetoric on campaign promises

by Brett Samuels - 12/29/24 6:00 AM ET

TOLD YA SO...............

President-elect Trump on the campaign trail made grandiose promises to voters to bring down costs quickly, to end the war in Ukraine before he even took office and to use tariffs to bolster the U.S. economy and manufacturing.

Since winning November’s election, Trump has indicated delivering on those promises may not be as simple as advertised.

Trump in a recent “Meet the Press” interview said he could not guarantee tariffs would not lead to higher consumer prices.

He acknowledged in a Time magazine interview for his Person of the Year honor that it’s difficult to bring down the cost of groceries once they’ve gone up.

And in his first post-election press conference from his Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Fla., Trump suggested ending the war in Ukraine would be more difficult than easing tensions in the Middle East.

While Democrats and critics accused Trump of lowering expectations or signaling he would not deliver on his campaign promises, the Trump transition and other allies argued it was the president-elect shifting from sweeping campaign rhetoric to the nuances and realities of governing.

“The American people re-elected President Trump by a resounding margin giving him a mandate to implement the promises he made on the campaign trail. He will deliver,” said Karoline Leavitt, a spokesperson for the transition and the incoming White House press secretary, in a statement.
