Cleared the porch off half hour ago for the second time, I think we have about 5” right now and plan on doing a full clearing at 9pm to make tomorrow a bit easier.

Standby generator??? Mine was exercised yesterday to ensure it will start right up if called to duty...

Standby generator ready to go when I can open the garage door and properly vent it
And plug into the transfer switch connected to my main panel. My areas power grid is notoriously bad and we are always first to lose it in bad weather and often lose it on dry sunny days

Same here
Windows on back side of house are ice/snowed over and blinds pulled to keep heat from woodstove in
Front windows have partial visibility

Even without power for blower fan the woodstove keeping house warm for now

We've been lucky so far but had a few hiccups to keep us on edge. The main effect being the big UPS clicking and humming, fortunately doing more power conditioning than dealing with an outage.

Losing power would certainly suck right now since I'm in the same situation with the generator. Impractical to put it outside, unsafe to run it in the garage. And two refrigerators and a freezer to keep cold. Although I could just fill the big coolers with snow and move everything into them.

Another duck that needs realignment in my life. At some point I have to put an exhaust stack in the garage so the genny can stay indoors.
