A 7-keeper near limit to 5lbs today for Kenscot and I fishing the JI deep drops - just couldn't pull that last "boxer," and believe me, we tried! Pretty good catch nonetheless, on a lovely day offshore.

The better fish wanted the Salmon "worms' today - here's the fiver:

Nice job Lep. Still spotty here in Shinnecock. I hit different depths on Friday between 50 and 90’ for lots of fish but nothing bigger than 18-1-2”

Just curious How deep are going out that way???

Hi CC - we fish in the 75-85' range - over rubble and other hard stuff. . . and pay the hefty price of "doing business" out there, mostly in lost buck tails.

was out saturday,,saw you & a few others catching...I got out late & left early,,,just my better half and me..she was sunbathing but did catch our only keeper fluke...

Last couple of years, I fished the panther wreck outside of Shinnecock, did very well with some fluke to 6lbs.
Last year fishing near the fish traps caught a 28 and a 24 in. Started getting hot when my buddies motor alarm went off, water bypass valve let go, had to be towed in.

My list of what to check and double check before I leave the dock seems to get longer all the time.
Most are based on whats gone wrong over the years but every year brings another surprise.

hit the deep today north wind made for a nice cool morning...bite was on has 10 NY keeper before the turn of the tide..after the turn wind layed down drift changed but did have 2 more ny keeper fluke...and our limit od BSB with a few ling in the mix...

nice cooler full of fish ..I was high hook for a change & the two of four that caught all the fish were using CTS BJ 700L spinners ..green gulp was the hot color today..

Went to Nantucket Shoals this weekend - amazing Fluke quality. My just under 10 pounder wasn't even a pool contender. On second day we slayed the Haddock in 200' of water after Georges Bank codfishing in 300' yielded only Pollock. There's a new Mecca
