the "What are you doing NOW" thread (part deux)

noticing how many members from here are still posting on that other site...................

What's wrong with that? It served us well all these years and now you want to put it down. You'd still be there if it weren't for George.

meaning you would not have approved my application for membership here - or - never told me about it if George hadn't?

Well that's quite the "eye opener"............

You wouldn't have this site if george didn't make it. And I think I may have approved you.

ok - misread your previous statement - it sounded like if George hadn't invited me to the site:
  1. I would never have known about it as you or no one else wouldn't have told me about or
  2. only because George invited me you approved membership - otherwise you wouldn't have
sorry - I'm delicate these days...............

insecurity issues

well - believe I'm headed to the Vet in the morning...................

Max has been acting very strange the last day or two - pretty much sleeps all day & his hindquarters are very weak. Especially the leg that had the ACL surgery. I can knock him over with a gentle push or pressure to his rear.

Having trouble (at least I assume it's trouble & not just laziness) lifting his leg to pee. Just squatting like a female.
Very "stiff legged" in his rear legs & one front paw where there was some arthritis.
Noticed him standing staring at the wall for quite awhile - one front paw raised. The one with the arthritis. Like he was set to charge something he saw in the backyard.

Every now & then yelp for no reason I can discern.
He doesn't appear to be in any pain. I can touch him all over & he doesn't react.
Eating well.

Just looking real real old. Like he doesn't know what's going on. Face going grey fairly rapidly over the last month or so.
Having trouble getting up the stairs. Sometimes trouble getting down them. Fell once & another time I was coming down with him & he seemed to be picking up speed & was about to fall - instead he lept down the last 4 or 5 steps. While impressive it wasn't intentional. More of a bid to stop from tumbling.

He's 12.5 years old - going to be 13 in June.
Average lifespan for Springers is 15 - so he's close.

so..............

We'll see what we'll see.

All the best for Max, your a Good Daddy to him.

It’s tuff seeing them get old, I’m sure he is fine and it’s More you than him.
His changes will effect you, let him get old and do the best you can to adjust while keeping him comfortable.
