    What's on your reading list?

    Am currently reading Empire of the Summer Moon, story of Comanche chief Quanah Parker. Book by SC Gwynne, written in 2010...really interesting history of horse soldier tribe Comanches...very bloody and realistic history of Texas frontier...highly recommend this book.

    Last month I finished “Lonesome Dove” and thoroughly enjoyed it...just a very enjoyable story...check it out....also over the winter I read “The Terror”, which was really good - about a 19th century British expedition that gets stranded in the Arctic.

    Fluke Jigs- "Hook Refinements?"

    Just read the above and am glad I did...my situation is similar and am glad I am not only person to have similar problem...I go for Fluke from shore in Jamaica Bay...use a variety of rigs....tins, modified 3x3 with Finese 4 or 5”, traditional fluke rigs with teaser above...plenty of times I get...

    Cape cod

    Going to brewster, ma on 9/7for a week..can anyone recommend a good Fluke boat(charter or partyboat). I know that monomoy is good but I can’t find a boat. Also a good boat for strippers/blues (not trolling). Any recommendations or suggestions are appreciated. Thanks. Fred Miller
