    The Madison

Admittedly a rabid fan of anything Taylor Sheridan has a hand in- (Wind River. Hell and High Water, Yellowstone, 1883, 1923, Mayor of Kingstown, Lioness, Tulsa King, Landman) this one is fit for viewing with one's spouse, a feeling we only get with Starz's Outlander. Michelle Pfeiffer is still...

    Gulp!

Never would have known without frequenting Facebook. While I typically "unfollow" most "friends", (never met their relatives and their posted family photos will remain a mystery), I do love FB for my hobbies of ship modeling, gardening, deer hunting, my rides, kayaking, and fishing.

    good stuff on netflix

Just watched "War Machine" with Alan Richson followed by "Jurassic, Rebirth". both mindless, improbable but jolly good fun. War Machine a "Predator" ripoff but Jurassic was much better than the third movie in the series, leaving out Dern and Neill and giving us Scarlett J and Marshala Ali...

Barbara, scroll up to boat guy. he posted the charts of who and where the vendors are. will try here. Looks like I won't make it this year and did want to see what new Gulp! was out there. Thanks to some luck over the years "obtaining" my own bucktails, and guidance from Leprechaun...

Feds plan to roll back speed regulations that protect endangered right whales

We were fortunate on our next to last cruise, seeing two when we booked a whale watching tour out of some port in New Brunswick (?) (Gotta check my notes, one of those if its Tuesday you must be in ___ stops)

Oh yes. I think I went by jamesa ( my names reversed) on NE. I have pestered George and others about Capt Matt’s true ID but no one will tell. I had returned to the briny after an 8 year hiatus (sold our first boat after second son born and just fished sweetwater until 96 or so) and the...

    Daiwa reels

I am weak on the terminology. After i put the reel back together the reversing lever would not “shift over” to allow me to backreel. I used it for another month after anyway. What doesn’t spin freely is the little black “knob” at the end of the crank. No biggie when kayakfishing the...

    Daiwa reels

I only asked to have the non reverse levers functional again. More curious about this “who will service Daiwa” question

    Daiwa reels

Got my Penn4400SS back from Causeway yesterday. Charge was under $40 plus the part (a dog) that I had ordered previously from Fishermans HQ which they used along with a ratchet (?) Although old, I had been mostly using BG Daiwas off the yak and the Penn reel was really in great shape...

    Do they think we're idiots!

I had been given a Weber but even though it was in good shape it never cooked as evenly as a walmart I had at the time and its "bottom' is now my fish cleaning station. About half a dozen years ago one October we were in Lowes and noticed Charbroils on a half price sale. they even gave me...

    Winter storm

SWMBO and I shoveled the two porches out, and a path to the front of her car in the driveway, as well as a path to the garage where tomorrow morning I will pull out the little electric Toro and see if it can handle the wet stuff on our 80 feet of sidewalk. Times like these I almost wish we...
