And NOT food unless pickled or smoked!! There's a fad within the Foodie Clique and one of the items is grilled herring. Since I like herring pickled and smoked, I decided to try it grilled at one of the Foodie's Sanctum Sanctorum establishments in Portland. It was well-nigh disgusting...- Roccus7

WRONG!!! Turns out those are sperm sacks full of milt, as cod spawn over the winter. They didn't seem tubular at all. Bizarre that I've never seen it before considering I've been cod fishing in October for the last 16 years. Guess this guy was an early horn dog...- Roccus7
