    I always scoured CL and FB weekly for free wood when I lived on LI. Was always able to secure enough wood for each season. Sometimes very hit and miss.

    Had a tree service drop off some big boys. Ran to Tractor Supply for a bigger saw don't think my 20 yr old Husky 350 would be quite up to this challenge.

    Finally came across some free firewood down here. Got 8 loads of either black locust or pecan plus some maple and cherry. I'm hoping to get at least 2 cords out of this.

    Will be glad to have a one way tunnel. I hate seeing those semi's and large campers coming at you with their left wheels on the edge of the yellow lines.

    Got a few slushy inches in ESVA but just north of us in MD got a decent bit of snow. Of course everything is now frozen solid with lots of black ice (I'd rather have a ft of snow).

    I bought a new battery operated Husqvarna and am very pleased with it. My gas one died after 24 yrs.

    When I lived on LI I did very well with Immaculate Tree Service in Kings Park I would make sure to bring bones from the butcher for his two shepherds. He had a big following on the Craigslist. I haven't secured a connection down here yet. I'm good for one more year so I'll be hunting for wood...

    My old (24 yrs) gas saw started bogging down and I suspect its the carb when a new air filter and fuel filter didn't help. So I decided to take advantage of a Labor Day sale and ordered a battery Husqvarna chainsaw.
