Time outside!

Fished Sunday despite the cold weather and incessant wind. It had to approach 30 MPH a few times in small bursts. Tried looking for bass in the bay and closer to the ocean for nada. Tried in the weedy, coffee colored bay for zero fluke. Granted not my best effort, but did give it a shot. Dropped down, jigged 3 times and could feel the weed latching on for the ride. Finally accepted that a bunch of blues to 5 pounds was all I was going to muster up.

Got out earlier this morning in search of bass and found them to be absent from the scene. Those bunker looked way too happy today as the only danger was me and the dive bombing ospreys. Had one fly within a rod's distance from the boat holding a bunker and I could swear I heard the bunker say "please drop me here" to no avail. Eventually I needed the rod to bend so I fed some bunker to a few bluefish to 8 pounds understanding at least one hook and leader would get mangled, and it did. I will tie another.

Thankful that the boat is running well and great to be outdoors, although Sunday I really should have stayed in bed, lol.

Finally, played with these guys for a bit. They were ripping around corralling bait all morning.

Be safe and starting to look like the warmer weather is going to join us.
