And just like that some baked seasoned fresh fluke over cilantro lime rice.

Quick report. Capt. Mike and Kevin/longcast aboard for a deep trip. Beautiful day, again very slow drift and bite. Lots of hangers-on and "one pump chumps" that wouldn't commit. Ended the day with 4 fish in the box, Mike's the day's best at roughly 4.5lbs. Had one nice biscuit and a half dozen ling as well.

It's just a matter of time before the zone you're fishing comes alive. I feel a DD fish or two in your future!

Another top-notch effort by Lep even though the Fluke were not in the mood to eat properly. Thanks for a fun day.
Better days and boat limits are not too far off for one of our local Fluke experts!

Late report. Sailed with KenScot and RobbiePav to my offshore office. Unlike the previous three trips there was a significant breeze (initially) pushing us along, necessitating 5oz bucktails. Started catching well, with three for the box, plus a lot of husky Jersey-sized toss-backs. Unfortunately, the breeze died just before the turn and that was that. Back to the 0.0 - 0.2 drift speed of all of our prior trips, which the keepers just don't seem to find appealing for their bait-hunting druthers. So, finished the day with just the 3 keeps, though it was a truly lovely day to be on the water. I can't say anyone did any better than we did, because we didn't see a net move on any boat all day - including aboard the party boat that came out to the deep. But I do know that one of my buddy-boats, who sailed out there and fished alongside us took the golden sombrero, a total skunk-a-roo. This is shaping up to be a really tough season, that's for sure. Don't know about next weekend, as of now the conditions look a bit dicey to me, but we'll see. A rare RobbiePav sighting:
