Lost my best friend almost 30 years ago so I know where you're coming from.

Naturally this is very personal for you. We'd need to know a lot about what was meaningful in your relationship if we were to kick in any ideas.

Tattoos are very popular today.

Back in the day I got one. Probably about 55 years ago. There was a tattoo parlor on Hempstead Turnpike in Elmont across the street from the stables at Belmont Racetrack. The first time I went there with my phony draft card the guy ripped it up and told me to get lost kid. I came back the next year with another phony draft card and this time I got one. Was a scull with bat wings that cost $45. Roll the clock forward about 50 years I had it removed with lasers. That cost about $4,000. Totally gone you would never know there was a tattoo on my arm.

I remember that shop, I was selling two Penn 706 reels, he answered the add, we set a price, I didn't live too far away & agreed to come to the shop. I left the reels in the truck when I got their, & he said that he really didn't have the cash to spare & offered to ink a striper on my chest in exchange for the reels. I told the guy to go pound salt among a few other things I probably said & left.
