Pareto Principle

The Pareto Principle, is also referred to as the 80/20 rule. This principle, or rule, however you would like to refer to it states that roughly 80% of effects, come from 20% of causes. Or another way to understand it is say that of your successes, you are only accessing 20% of the whole. The other 80% is not productive.

This 80/20:rule has many applications in our daily lives, and I believe it has a foundation in fishing. It is something good anglers focus on without having even heard of this principle. This principle advises anglers to identify and focus on the 20% of factors that are most productive to improve their success rate. This could mean focusing on specific hotspots, reefs, wrecks, using a smaller selection of trusted lures, being on the water during the most productive times, tides, moon phases, rather than casting a wide net of less effective activities.

Just something to think about………..
