Soooo I've been having knee pain since July. Finally got MRI last week. I have a torn meniscus and my left hip is showing signs of ostheonecrosis. My right is also but not as bad. Saw ortho yesterday, he said I'll need hip replacement in future and they try and push it off as long as possible. As far as the knee he said start with PT and go from there. He also gave me a cortisone shot. BTW I'm only 40

Intense knee pain which put me in the emeregency room as I couldn't stand, sit or walk. Only relief came from lying down. X-Rays & MRI showed a slipped disc pinching my sciatic nerve which was causing the pain in my left knee & making that leg numb from the knee down.
Further MRI's showed 2 bugling discs & spaces between all of my discs when I bent over & arthritis.
Within 3 years it developed into sever scolosis with my spin shifting 2 inches to the left leading to Spinal Fusion Surgery.
All caused by the slipped disc. This after three tries of steriod shots directly into the spine failed to provide relief.
