It was a scorching 12° today when I broke down and put the ice eater in.
I had plans to build a spreader to hang the whole thing on the boat so it would be centered, balanced and wouldn't wind itself up when it started. I had the materials, but it wasn't such a priority in August.

It's in the water all year round.
Not because I have designs on going cod fishing, mind you.
Just saying waiting to put the ice eater in is kinda running out of gas in the car

Well, yeah. I got spoiled by the earlier warm weather and wasn't really expecting this long a cold stretch.
Pure optimism, or laziness on my part. I'll let you guess which one.

Just sitting here in a "We don't need no stinking water dripping!" domicile ROTFFLMFAO at all the wailing and gnashing at teeth here. At least @Avenger has the right idea about embracing all seasons...
Only question is when I'll suit up and take my daily snowshoe jaunt in the brisk single digit temps and probably subzero wind chills, but who cares???
