The never ending chat thread, chat about anything That your up too

Sitting back with my feet up after a lovely snowshoe trek on 20” of virgin powder in the deep woods. Yes, I was sucking wind for sure, but unlike other septuagenarians here who seem content to watch their faucets drip, I ascribe to the Teddy Roosevelt ideal of a “Strenuous Life”…

you picked a good one...
Just curious based on your experience with Guitars what would be better or worse for a beginner?

any Epiphone Les Paul is an excellent instrument....

However - rather then starting out with an electic - I'd recommend a decent acoustic like an Ovation. Once you've got that down - then move on to electric. Acoustic is actually harder to play then electric. Less forgiving.

That's how I did it - eventually migrating to bass guitar.

The Epiphone Les Paul Standard '60s is a ggod choice for the beginne. It's high quality & has a good sound & is comfortable to play. Only had limited experience with it. Guitarist in the band had one that I occasionally "strummed" as that wasn't my place in the band. I'm talking over 40 years ago. But as I recall - it felt great in the hand.

It's not a low end run of mill electric guitar. Epiphony makes a great instrument.

What do you play now if I might ask

Still have my bass & picked up an acoustic just before COVID arrived. Play for my own enjoyment.

Have a small amp for the bass that I'll play alongside what's in the Player. It's hollow body so I can "doodle along" without the amp most of the times but I do love "plugging" it in,

Love the bass.
