Many of you who fish the south shore, particularly out of Jones Inlet, know of Jeffrey Wolkin. He passed away Thursday after a long battle with cancer. He was a character, and a good and decent man. May he rest in peace.

“My father, Jeffrey Wolkin of blessed memory, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, February 12. Thank you for all of your support and building a community for him throughout his painful cancer journey.
My dad was a very special, happy-go-lucky guy who was probably the most honest person on this planet.
We will be sitting Shiva at our home from Sunday evening until Friday afternoon. Hours: 12-4 and 6-8 with services at 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday evening. Funeral is at 1:30 pm on Sunday and zoom link is in the comments
