Snow/Blizzard pics

The way I deal with snow is I usually try to ignore it, I shovel a path to the 4 wheel drive pickup & wait for whoever put the snow there to take it away. This snow was just too much, drifts up to my knees & up to the front bumper of the truck. Called our 53 year old Son this morning & reminded him he owes me.

@Avenger did you get the chain out?

Finally, yes.

Removing the shear-bolt was the key. Once the auger was unloaded I was able to unwind the chain and used the crowbar to get the second stage rotor to move enough to get the blade with the link jammed under it positioned in the discharge chute so I could get the chain out. And, like an excellent landing, everything is reusable.

Meanwhile, as a last resort, ('cause we men, you know?) I downloaded all the manuals for the snowblower and it looks like I need to pay more attention to tire pressure when running chains.

Oh, and the pipe tap from Home Depot arrived today, so I can try to fix the exhaust issue on the REO at the shop. Unfortunately I can see why it was cheap. It's dull as dirt.

We shall see...
