This has been the strangest season I have ever had in my lifetime. I have caught alot of fish just no size at all. Been very frustrating catching 50 or more a trip and nothing to bring home for the dinner table. Me and my dad went on Monday. I am not mentioning the boat because I am not going to give a nice report. 50 fares 15 keepers. That has been the theme all year long. My dad has more keepers than me in regards to fluke but not enough for the amount of fish he caught. My dad i am guessing caught between 30 and 40 fluke and only one keeper for the day a 19 and a half inch fluke. I started off with the diamond jig for two short drifts and caught nothing so I switched over to gulp for two drifts before I lost the rig and caught 2 fluke under 14 inches. So after I got snagged I went back to my gold jigs and caught a 17 inch fluke and a bunch of small sea bass the rest of the trip. I was trying for blues and Bonita i did have a few hits while reeling up but no luck. Not sure when I am going back on a party boat. Have to see with this weather and if its worth it. Tight lines.
