I was out again today. Fished my ultra light tackle and had a lot of fish but only one keeper. I let her go because she looked like she was full of eggs. Capt Jay had his PB of the season...a 21" fattie. He let her go too. Overall it was great day to be out.
Watch that back...I threw mine out in Feb and ignored it till the pain was unbearable. Had a slipped disc and spinel stenosis and wound up getting surgery after multiple epidural shots failed to relieve the pain.
My friend posted this. I'm the one with the hunched back from the surgery last week. ☺️
I lifted all the keepers and had no worries about the rod breaking at all. Felt very solid.
I was out today and fished the Ultra Light Dobyns rod all day. Had fish to 19 inch and it was a blast. I had the drag cranked down on the Curado and it was singing with anything over 14". I had 4 keepers and a few dozen under 16". Even the shorties put a bend on the rod and it was fun.
The only...
Did a lot of walking today, and a litle bit of yard work. Kinda sore right now.
I neglected the yard all season due to my back problem. Hopefully my back gets stronger soon so I can blow the leaves in Nov.
