2004 28’ Albin TE, F/V EMMA I’ll be keeping her here in NY. I didn’t get enough use out of keeping a boat in FL during winter months as it seems to be blowing most of the time. Additionally, the productive bottom fishing for groupers and the like out of the Venice area is usually in the 60...

Comment by 'MakoMatt' in article 'IS THIS THE END OF FISHING AS WE KNOW IT?'

This AI technology will help those who know how to take advantage of it. I think most of the fishing community today couldn’t catch a fish in a barrel full of them, and that will continue to be so. I think it will also help tremendously in understanding the changes taking place in our oceans.

    Vessel lettering & graphics

Are there any brick & mortar businesses left in the area that provide these services, or is it all online today? Any recommendations either way would be appreciated although I would prefer a real “store” where you speak face to face.

    Smoked Mackerel

215 degrees for about 1/2 an hour is not really a fish smoking tempature. That’s cooking the fish. Mackerel, should be hot smoked which is about 40-45 degrees Celsius, which would be between 104-113 F. Do that for about 12 hours.

    Garmin vs Simrad

Thanks Captain Mike, My search started about a year ago. I was initially looking for a flush deck but ended up with a mid engine, hard top, soft back. There were trade offs for each, but the mid engines are more plentiful so hence much easier to find one. After traveling up and down the east...

    Garmin vs Simrad

If all goes as planned I will be closing on a new sled this coming week. I want to update the electronics on the boat and have been considering between Garmin & Simrad. Your thoughts?
