Congrats George!
I too was rudely greeted out of the Stacks with that hard NE wind. We did manage a way oversized bass on the chunk at slack @8am.
Tried for Fluke in front of the powerplant until @10am with none of your luck.
My inside sources who have some connections to the team say Fox is in need of knee surgery, Lindgren has 2 broken ribs, and Panarin has a fractured wrist.
Completely manhandled and out played the last two periods of a do or die game. Florida gave us zero time and space and quite frankly NY did not fight for it either. Unreal how soft this team became, meanwhile FL imposed their will on every play, every loose puck. Tip my cap to them, the better...
Besides our ENTIRE team showing up, could we please stop with the constant icings!.
Skate the puck out of our zone now and again. They either tend to quickly ice it, or make a bad pass and the puck stays in, or is quickly back in. Florida has so much momentum during the game because of this...
Well WhatKnot got let off the hook.
Halfway through the game and I'm already not looking forward to Game 7. The Panarin line is cycling and got one but I said what the hell happened to CK line, they are invisible as we heading to the 2nd intermission.
Finally they started to control play, and...
Still allowing Carolina to dictate play.
I don't understand trying to protect a 1 goal lead with half the game left. Reminds me of Torts old saying..."safe is death"
Not saying that Igor had a bad game as he has been stellar, but that bad look of three quick goals has reared it's ugly head...
Same story.
Igor holds them off, #37 was a wrecking ball, they hit everything and extend plays in O zone but their PP can't deliver, our special teams tilts the ice and ties it up and was a post away from taking the lead twice on same PK.
In between 2nd and 3rd, I was thinking how Panarin was...
No doubt we stole that game. Just watching it from a hockey fans point of view, the Canes were the better team. More shots, bigger hits, controlled play, the shorthanded chances late in regulation. I was already preparing myself for the let down of OK, we are going to NC tied after losing in...
They do not break down the ice. The ice is there all season long. The basketball court and flooring for concerts goes on top of the ice similar to a jigsaw puzzle.
This kid has MSG chanting his name the moment he gets on the ice. He is trying to play the right way, even though every tough guy wants to drop the gloves with him.
Then he scores the first goal of the game....a legit goal scorers goal finishing off an in close feed and the Garden goes wild...
Had to give spring tog a shot after working on the boat and trailer for the upcoming season.
My neighbor Rich was very helpful with everything, and was more than willing to secure some crabs Cow Harbor for a sunday am shakedown with my buddy Billy.
Broke the inlet @8:30 and after running some...
Yikes!
Not impressive at all.
They have 2 games left and hopefully they can get back to winning ways, otherwise its the worst time of the year to go into a slump.
Agreed...glad they made it a game, but very lazy in the 1st...one of those blink and IGOR gives up multiple goals games.
Hope Mika is OK. 100% boarding call late...refs swallowed the whistles on a few plays with 5 minutes left. There was an obvious trip on #20 behind the NYI net that wasn't...
NYR has a reputation of making rookie or young goalies look like the second coming of Hasek.
Pens are a desperate team and they played like it for the win. NYR played the fancy east west game, giving up prime scoring chances for the extra pass that usually wasn't there.
I'm sure Torts is not happy with his goalie.....3rd period and OT the NYR put 9 shots on goal...5 of them went in.
Then again the Rangers came hard at him, and maybe he had a chance on 3 of the 5...Brodzinki's, Laf's 1st one and Fox's OT winner.
The F@#*in Flyers made life very difficult for us...
I only saw the 3rd period last night, but I did like the way we shut down Boston.
Marchand and Pasta were non existent , meanwhile Krieder had a lot more jump than his past few games.
Decent showing in the loss. Having 2 top defensive D men out doesn't help.
Jets goalie was very good, always in position.
#20 looked lazy on the go ahead goal...he has been unremarkable the past handful of games.
Tough stretch of top teams these next few games.
Had the game in their grasp, they started running around and let it get away from them.
Hat tip to a better TB team tonight...I was hoping we could pick Duclair back up over the trade deadline.
Back to back this weekend.
