I love my Tarulas. I've been down sizing and switching to baitcasters for all my Western Sound fishing. Been using my Tatula SV 70 for most of my porgie, seabass and light tog jigging. Dropping and casting down to a 1/4oz jigs tipped with bait is no problem. Paired with a 1/8th -1/2 oz BFS rod...
Thanks again for the well wishes.
Went in @7am, walked out @ 12 with no pain. 👍👍👍
3/4" incision all glued up. Hopefully be backnfishing in a week or so. 😁
Hit the Sound for a few hours today. The weather was great and the water was very calm. Had togs chewing all day but most were just shy of 16".
We managed two keepers and called it a day.
Hit the Sound for the opener and had non stop bite. Mostly 12 to 15 but managed to get 2 keepers. 16 1/2 and a 18. Green crabs in 18 to 23 feet of water.
I'm in the same boat. Wife wants to know when I'm gonna clean up the basement and make a home gym. Not happening till I get my spine surgery done in a few weeks. 👎
Yes, it's based on the old Ryoga but alot more hefty.
My Ryoga with a Gomex handle and the Saltiga BJ on a Blackhole rod. I wish they would make a saltiga with a thumb button and no level wind but untill they do these are my favorite reels for inshore fishing.
I've using this Daiwa Saltiga BJ, I got cheap for togs the past few seasons and I really like it.
also, If I can get out after my back surgery this year, I got a few BFS bait casters I want to try for jigging 1oz jigs for tog in the shallow structures.
