I fished the first 3 hours of the incoming tide this morning.I caught some short fluke and of course there was no shortage of sea robins I was also rewarded with 3 weak fish one keeper at 19" and a 25" 5 1/2 lb. fluke.I guess thats not bad considering the way fishing has been in Jamaica bay lately.
I loved fishing with my Dad who passed at the age of 59 and agree any day out with him was a great day but the fishing it self was not a great success.
If you are concerned about the grip breaking leave less space between them say a 1/2" that will still give the epoxy a place to go and it will fill most of the voids and support the grip.
Thats the way you do arbors the epoxy takes up the voids as you slide the grip up the butt.One more thing as you slide the grip up the butt slowly turn it that helps spread the epoxy.
