"Must Bring Along" Fluke Outfits - My Current Thinking, But Where Are YOU At?
All depends on conditions: back bay skinny water (<10' deep) I use my ultralight shimano compre w/ old Penn 430SS, out front in ocean off jetties I use my go-to custom spinner that's my favorite from boats. In all cases I use Lep's B/S rig. In spring though Fluke seem to prefer spearing over Gulp- hartattack

Except for my icefishing and tuna gear, I think I've used every setup in my arsenal for fluke! From ultralight trout rods to XH tilerods, from 1/4 oz jigs to 28 oz sinkers, fluke equipment runs the gamet. I hit it harder than usual this year and it was definitely off. I fluked pre-season from shore alot and did very well in the skinny stuff b4 being disappointed in the deep. Fryday flukin', literally. Never have I seen so many juvenile fluke, we had 'em on the inside today from 4" to 28" . Multiple double headers, must've landed 150 fish to get 4 keepers. Bodes well for our future- hartattack
