I know I'm beating a dead horse
The 2025 NY Fluke regs allow 4 keepers with 19" minimum size, but > 19.5" after 8/2 :-o The 2025 NJ Fluke regs allow 3 keepers at 18" all season. The difference in NY/NJ fluke bag limits began in 2019 when NJ was penalized 1 fluke when NJ went out of compliance with ASFMC guidelines.....- hartattack

When stocking up for the May 4th NJ Fluke opener I learned that Canadian Spearing (silversides) are not available. Looks like the Canadian suppliers came up with a goose egg last fall and whatever is currently available here in NJ is last year's local stuff in the 8oz. packages, bricks not...- hartattack

Got out for a quick morning fluke run to Long Branch NJ, good conditions, west wind, gin clear water. Most action in 40' , couple of nice sea bass too. Our 3 keeper fluke were 20-24". Even our seabass today would've been legal in NY :p- hartattack

FYI, never seen it this bad. Nobody can say why (sustained South winds?) but it looks like most of the NJ dredged sand projects now have shoaled up choaking this busy inlet. Hoping it's cleared b4 Debby arrives- hartattack
