“After regaining the lead again, I really thought we would have closed out with a win.” Me too. But it seemed every time we jumped ahead, their 1 - 4 hitters came up the very next inning. Was it just me or did Trea Turner bat about 15 times yesterday? 🙄

“Ron Darling works for Tbs not fox would like him. calling the game.” Ah ha, did not know that. Thank you. Don’t watch Yankee games, probably never will. 😎

A split was what I thought we would come back with. That’s a great hitting team, for sure. We’ll get em at Citi. On a happier note, how about Vientos emerging the way he has? Wow, he’s way better than the scouts said. Even though he dropped that infield pop, his 2 big HRs more than made up for it.

Fox Sports had Ron Darling doing the Yankee/KC broadcast. Would it have killed them to have him do “our” game? Who knows the Mets better? He’s not a “homer” and pretty fair. But nope, we get Wainwright instead. What Mets fan wants to listen to THAT guy? The great broadcast team spent most of...

Now It's Cape Fear's Turn For Some Corrective Surgery

For me the time between fluke and blackfish is for boat cleaning, catching up on mid-season maintenance matters and tog tackle readying. Sure, I could sail off for a shot at the really big porgies and mid-sized biscuits that infest my local south shore reefs right now, but at this point in the...

Your Ryoga is a 200-series or the more compact 100/150-series? Because the Pluton (originally called Ryoga in Japan) was released here in the USA only in the 200 series, and its my understanding that it is equivalent to the later Salty Bay Jigger, which you own. I may well be wrong, but I don't...

Hi Darth, so that reel is a variant of the Pluton/Ryoga reels of the late 90's/early 2000's. Here's mine as I purchased it from the previous owner, with the optional factory Daiwa "power handle" Installed. I have never had to change a single part in this reel - just regular tear downs and...

    Any opinions on this reel?

George, I'm not exactly sure how long ago that was, but rest assured it was a while ago. That "Topline Tools" sweatshirt I'm wearing in the movie looks fairly new, but was turned into a boat polishing rag between then and now - and I hate giving up my broken-in fishing sweatshirts - so it had to...

What's your take on this Penn?

I can't give anything but generalities, as I've never even seen this reel. I do think that Penn makes some pretty darn good LD reels, mostly with tech that's migrated down from their forever-great gold International reels. Plus Penn service has a good presence on the interwebs - though not on...

Here's one that my family really likes. Blackfish would be the preferred fish for this: Lep’s Asian Fish Soup 3lbs fish fillet cut into cubes or small chunks 6-10 Cleaned Shrimp (21-25 count/lb-size is ideal) 1 Medium Onion, diced 4 Cloves of Garlic, crushed 3 Potatoes cut into large chunks 1...
