Congrats! What School did you go through? I got mine two years ago and man, was it stressful going through the courses and tests. Hadn't crammed that hard since college....
You guys did better than we did for sure! Nice pics! I’ll repeat what i said on the video. I really hate that rig set up. There’s got to be a better way. And, yeah, those weather conditions do not sound like fun.
By the way, posting is now expired on this one but absolutely love how they highlight the shore power chord, fenders, ropes, etc in the Ad and not the power...
Jay, 7 or 8 years ago, that’s a normal deal on a then 20 year old boat....my presumption is someone who hasn’t boat shopped in a while gets suckered into this every day and that’s why these scammers keep doing what they’re doing....
Pete, see post 12 on this thread. Looks like he does do them...

He’s a frequent contributor on The Hull Truth boat website (not as good as nyangler.com, but few are), and I’m almost positive I’ve read threads on tank replacements where he’s commented about the time and effort involved when his shop does them.
For what it’s worth, West Marine will have some Black Friday sales on the Garmin Echo units. I’ve always found Garmin to be most user friendly (but totally get everyone has their favorites). I run a Humminbird too and love the sounder on that unit....

Had a great week chartering last week by Plum Island. Lots of quality tog to 8 pounds caught and many happy customers! all caught on jigs - never had to go above 1 ounce and was able to stay in the 1/2 ounce range most trips....
Jay - thanks for sharing your story here and also on my Youtube vid (it's John H). I think the other crazy thing about these scams is the level of sophistication associated with some of them. Besides the "too good to be true" pricing, they are now creating fake "review" sites with scores of...
This article best describes the different names. To be clear, “southern flounder” and the “summer flounder” we see here in the NE are closely related, but different. Also, I think the “fluke” vs “flounder” naming convention border is somewhere in NJ. I run a charter and most, but not all, of...
I think there’s a learning curve with jigs. The beauty of the jig is it lets a big blackfish swoop in and “walk away” with the bait with no heavy sinker in play offering resistance. It takes a lot of patience to wait out the small taps and hits and wait for your jig to either get that sharp...
