How about wrapping it in cheap chicken wire. If it's lost it will corrode away.

Boat Rage - like you have never seen!

Seems Captain Horner has gotten a few more charges levied after his original arrest. "The FWC said their investigation also revealed more about a separate March 29 charter fishing trip operated under Horner’s business, Tarpon Coast Fishing Charters. FWC said they found Horner was operating...

Been playing around with the ball jig. I cut the lead barb off and shortened the jig. I then bent a ring at the new tail end of the jig. I might cut the entire shoulder off and make it like a fluke ball. It's still cheaper if I make my own and I enjoy doing it. Another option with the shoulder...

With all the wind, I'm hanging out in the garage pouring and painting some swing hook, round ball jigs. I don't like the Mustad hook for my mold. This one is 1 ounce.

Great tip Capt. Mike. As for donating or dragging our killie cars, we have all been there and done that. I have found a couple of the yellow and black cars floating.

Yum Longcast. That waffle looks awesome. Looks like I have to get my butt out of bed and make breakfast. Last night was scungilli and bucatini with a very nice salad and vinaigrette.

That is interesting Capt. Mike, never knew that either. I still love using big killies but they are hard to get. They were really hardy and with a piece of squid on it's nose, I feel, they would shake it around and excite a fluke into taking the bait. Now I mostly use peanuts if I'm not...

Thanks Capt. Mike but I learned it as a kid from the masters. I was the shitty little jobs person that got to clean the seaweed out of the net. Over the years, I worked my way up to being a master baiter. (old joke but works here)

    Cholesterol and my new smoker

Definitely not a toss them on and take them off when done meat. Lots of hands on but I found it enjoyable and they are so delicious. This was a very helpful video with some good suggestions. She only weighed 130 and then she bought a smoker.

    Cholesterol and my new smoker

Well this is interesting. My usual cholesterol is a total of 120 with a high HDL. My normal diet was chicken, fish, pork tenderloins and pasta with tomato sauce. My cardiologist insists l get my cholesterol tested at his office every three months after a quadruple bypass in 2018. Since 2018...

It's as local as you can get. I can throw a rock at them from my backyard. I use local spearing and I get my pick of the best. I enjoy catching spearing, it all part of my fishing experience. It takes a good eye to make a good set. Once they are caught, you have to get them in ice water to keep...

Just finished the spring tune up, greased all the fittings and changed oil and lower gearcase fluids on my two F-250's. I need to solder in a new VHF antenna plug, clean the waterline and launch. I had a few small bass last night while fishing off my Carolina skiff with light tackle. SP Minnows...

I'm pulling the top tight with tie wraps before the final tie in. Finished making the VHF antenna base mount and it came out great. Can't wait to get the boat out of the driveway. Although it doesn't look it, the VHF antenna is perfectly plumb. I'm very happy with the quality of the t-top canvas...

T-top coming out great. Got the canvas on and drawing it tight. Mounted the radar and gps antenna. I'm making a new VHF antenna out of starboard. Should be done tomorrow and hopefully splash Tuesday but will be happy if it takes until Wednesday.

I got a new T-top canvas and I plan to install today. After the install, I have to replace the radar, gps and vhf antennas, radio box, navigation light and outrigger holders. It's going to be a very busy job with a lot of climbing up and down. First step, give the aluminum frame a good scrub.
