Crossroads 2010
Clapton hosts this event every few years. If you love great guitar playing you should look for a disc or two. I've got three of them. Every top notch gutarist is there strictly by invitation...

There's shop here in town run by a husband & wife who moved down here after a stint in Louisiana from Northport NY. Their specialty?
The husband - Bill is a uthier who builds custom guitars & upright basses, Some really nice one of a kind stuff. Most price tags are north of $1000 a piece...

Outstanding...............
I've been playing guitar since the late 1960's. Playing bass began shorty thereafter. Played in & out of several bands up until mid 80's - kept with the bass all along to keep myself entertained & then repurchased an acoustic intending to relearn that.

Still have my bass & picked up an acoustic just before COVID arrived. Play for my own enjoyment.
Have a small amp for the bass that I'll play alongside what's in the Player. It's hollow body so I can "doodle along" without the amp most of the times but I do love "plugging" it in,
Love...

However - rather then starting out with an electic - I'd recommend a decent acoustic like an Ovation. Once you've got that down - then move on...
