    I went out last weekend for 2 hours with a friend and we had 1 hit and 1 bass. Decent schoolie of about 25"-26". I think this weekend should be better.

    There was an emergency meeting today and one of the options was a moratorium for 1 year. Doubt that happens. Anyone know the other options? I think a slot size would be fair for a couple years. Was told next meeting was April 30.

    Fun Saturday. Fished a lake in Western Suffolk for 2 hours. Had 20+ trout, mostly browns, to 20".

    Big bust on south shore and most of LI. Warmed faster than modeled. I have 5” in Queens. Central Park, LGA and Newark will all end with 4”-6”. Southern boroughs are only 2”-3”. Northern boroughs are 4”-7”. Northern LI is 3”-5”. Southern and eastern LI is 1”-2”.

    Today was a 2”-4” event for LI and 3.5”-5” event for NYC. Tomorrow night looks like a 5”-10” event. I think NYC metro will be 7”-9”.

    Prospects of a real snowstorm are growing for Sunday night. Models colder so far today. Almost all of them so far are 4”-8”/6”-10”. Waiting for the Euro model to come out at around 1:15pm.

    It's going to rain after the snow. No argument there. I think this is a 2"-4"/3"-5" type snowfall 11am-1pm start time. Confidence is growing. Euro and other models today are snowier.

    For the 1st time since November weather models are getting snowier as we approach a potential storm. Usually that’s a sign of a good snow event coming. As of today’s models, 3”-6” is the mean for the NYC metro but I don’t trust anything this year. I will give a final update tomorrow morning...

    A nice snow squall is about to nail the area. It’s like a summer thunderstorm but with snow. They hit fast and quick.
