    NY Mets

Yankees/Giants here. Probably more due to parental influence. And, yes, agreed that parking fees feel very heavy. From recent experience, it’s $40 PLUS TAX!!!

Should NY have a Minimum Property Tax that homeowners have to pay ?

Regarding 2/3 of property tax going to schools: I read a proposed school budget line by line one year. While I cannot comment on most of the items, things like a $100K renovation to the superintendent's office stood out. That same year, the enrichment program was cut. It was either that or the...

    Lep's Flea Market

I’ll take you up on this, Captain. I haven’t treated myself in a while 😉. Besides, this sounds like it’s meant to be. I’ll be on board Wednesday, and it actually looks like the wind will lay down for a change. Maybe this is destiny…

Are you hanging it up for the season or still fishing?

I've got 2 more attempts at blackfishing with Capt. Mike coming up in the next week. So far I'm 0-for-3 thanks to the wind.

Another Reason To Stay Away From Car Dealers

I'm getting very close to 60 and this ^ is the reason I still do as much maintenance as possible on my family fleet of 5 cars. I do make it as enjoyable as possible... I bring the dog out front with me and take my time on a favorable weather day.

What to bring on my Nantucket Shoals Trip Next Week

x2 on Poison Tails and 6" Gulp grubs. Most of the time for me it was chicken rigs with up to 24 oz of lead. Jig when possible. Lots of nice sea bass as a bycatch. It's a long journey, but so worth it. I changed my drive from Throgs Neck Bridge and N on 95 to taking the Orient Point ferry. You...

    Computer question

My 5 year old PC came with Win 10, which I upgraded to Win 11 a few years ago. I’ve run Office 2016 on both OS’s without any issues.

N.Y. Today: What happens to abandoned boats in New York?

The Town of Hempstead (Nassau county, NY) used to take hulls from residents for no charge. You had to remove the gas tank. I brought one there myself about 7 years ago. They stopped accepting them. I guess sanding off the ID and abandoning them is how some will do it as opposed to paying for...

    Deck/Fishing Boot

XtraTuf "regular" ankle boots - holding up very well, insoles are kind of thin but slip right out and I replaced with Dr. Scholl's Gellin ones XtraTuf insulated Legacy boot - tall ones, again very durable, I consider them comfortable, especially in the fabric calf area I use both of these...
