Looks like it's finally tapering off. Gonna grab a quick lunch, then gear up to do battle against the elements.
Maybe if I'm lucky they'll get the roads clear by early tomorrow and I can get the other two locations done in one day. Considering that we haven't even seen a plow yet I'm guessing...
We've been lucky so far but had a few hiccups to keep us on edge. The main effect being the big UPS clicking and humming, fortunately doing more power conditioning than dealing with an outage.
Losing power would certainly suck right now since I'm in the same situation with the generator...

Speaking of which it looks like we were spared any flooding this time around. There's a benefit.
On the (maybe) plus side; high tide this afternoon wasn't crazy high. And at low tide, right about now, there's been decent recession.
So hopefully, peak high around 2:00 am won't cause significant flooding. Northeast winds should probably help keep the boat off the dock too.

Paddles or pedals, at least someone has to propel it. Those things probably have an autopilot and station keeping. One may as well have an autocaster. Then you could sit home and watch your 'yak go fishing for you with an app.
Absolutely! I didn't expect a win either, and I am so impressed with the entire team. I realize it's all pros now, but still, they played some stratospheric-level hockey. That first goal was pure artistry, and the second one was right out of the hockey textbook.

If I didn't have so many responsibilities regarding snow removal it wouldn't bother me. When I was younger and had more help and/or less property to clear it was all cool. Hopefully by this time next year I'll have more ducks in alignment and it won't be three days of digging and fighting with...
