    i've watched fisherman place the loop of the dropper through the eye of the hook then twist the loop before putting it over the hook. I fathom this might provide a cushion between the loop and the hook eye to prevent the line from chafing where the eye of the hook meets the shank?

    Even if the NY Seabass season opened the same date as the CT season I think that would make a big difference. Still don't understand the creel issues in NY waters, the fishery certainly does not seem to be in trouble. 3 fish at 15" almost the whole summer is frustrating to say the least.

    Thanks for the report, it would seem Seabass has been spanked hard since the NY opening. Been hearing an awful lot about a bunch of shorts coming up. Have to put in a mighty effort to bring home a few for dinner.
