"Must Bring Along" Fluke Outfits - My Current Thinking, But Where Are YOU At?

Lep - I have seen your spinning thoughts as well as those of our other members. Last season I encountered 2 separate individuals absolutely hammering fish using spinning setups on the party boats when the rest of us were not. Made me a believer as I saw how they skillfully were able to fish...

"Must Bring Along" Fluke Outfits - My Current Thinking, But Where Are YOU At?

Last year I really enjoyed using the BHCS after recommendations from you gents here. Mind blowing less than half the diameter of other rods I own. Light and fun especially when used with a round abu or better yet LP bait caster . Haven’t really picked up my other fluke rods as a result. Not...

Daiwa Catalina TW 100P - A really good Dealeo on a top-shelf baitcasting reel, - but you gotta move FAST!

Received the reel today , even came in the Tackle Barn shipping box so it has the same pedigree as ours. Light use for sure. ?

Daiwa Catalina TW 100P - A really good Dealeo on a top-shelf baitcasting reel, - but you gotta move FAST!

That would be an honor for me and very gracious of you. However, solving the equipment conundrum isn’t so easy for me... my fishing partner is what I like to refer to as F&F ..... it’s either my father or the female. Both have Veto powers and both agree their equipment needs to be equal or...

Daiwa Catalina TW 100P - A really good Dealeo on a top-shelf baitcasting reel, - but you gotta move FAST!

Gents, thank you and yes sealed the deal. The Catalina I had purchased this time last year was hi-jacked by my fishing partner. I would like to actually put some quality time in with one on the fluke grounds this year. Have a second spool of the Gosen waiting for it as well since I bought 2 at...

Daiwa Catalina TW 100P - A really good Dealeo on a top-shelf baitcasting reel, - but you gotta move FAST!

Lubricated yes Sir, will just chalk it up to the bazookas I bring to the gun show. Though not ruling out nicks I have missed. MTB, it is slick is ‘t it. Feels dainty compared to my Suffix 832 @ 20 lbs ,but sure pulls them up great and it must cut the water more. Havent been around the...

Daiwa Catalina TW 100P - A really good Dealeo on a top-shelf baitcasting reel, - but you gotta move FAST!

Have been really enjoying the Catalina I have to say. That is for the few times my fishing partner actually allows me a crank or two. Goshen line has held up to fish, but I have popped it a few times shoring up leader to braid knots. We did know it was softer than most off the bat. I am still...

    Fluke Jigs- "Hook Refinements?"

Pete, When you order your BT’s from HT does he custom pour the 2oz ball jig heads for you with the 4/0 hooks, not regular change he has made? I know his site says they come with the wide gaps.

    Fluke Jigs- "Hook Refinements?"

I went right of your / the groups hip with this purchase once again. It’s that year when my stocks are down and need to re-up. Decent prices one stop shop. Unfortunately, some I fish with grab out of my bag and enjoy donating to the structure gods every trip. I need to start enforcing party...

How do you store your gulp?

Yes, I do. Fishing and hookups I see no difference all works the same. Even dried up gulp redunked works. Pure magic. On the spill front the bags are no different than the containers once opened in my experience. I am happy to have had these better lidded containers pointed out to me. ...

How do you store your gulp?

Pete, thank you much , will do. Pequa, I frequently fish out of a Tarpon 16, which is not an overly stable broad kayak by a long shot. The height of these jars won’t bother me as long as I’m not spilling juice everywhere.

    CTS Rod Owners

What are the models that you have NOT had failures with? All these CTS threads have my mind turning thinking a BSB and fluke rod something fun.

How do you store your gulp?

Pequa, I used 2 of the Plano’s last summer, but they both eventually leaked . Always put them in ziplock bags to keep the juice off everything else. I was hopeful they would have been the solution. Chalking it up to a bad batch as I have acquaintances that have had good luck.
