I have used the CTS surfcasting line and they are a lite weight blank for sure. Just never a CTS for anything inshore. Sounds interesting .
I have Hercules and rodgeeks so largely different feels and compositions then comparatively.
That just sounds wrong doesn’t it. Like some of those Great Lakes salmon trolling boats they love on the left coast to use for ocean fishing... everything is backwards out there .
They will come quicker than the shipping/tracking says, any item I have ordered from any different aspect, hobby, endeavor, etc has handles included. Their return depot is in Jersey so returns are not that big of a deal either if from where discussed above.
That was not in reference to the Jersey show, but to those that I have gone to where that is all you see . Jersey is packed! I just enjoy shows with tons and tons of gear tables !
Goshen line is in and I concur on the diminutive size even its packaging is miniature. We will surely be able to go down in jig/bank weight size with the drop in diameter. It’s going to be like a hot knife though butter.
Will be interesting to seeing how well it holds up to structure.
Lep,
I haven’t looked far enough into it and haven’t ordered the star yet just saw it, I’m sure you are correct. I’m embarrassed to say I already have handles heading back overseas that were not to my liking .
Not a level wind , but I love the two Ocea Jigger 1500P series that I have. I put in Smoothdrag upgrades every few years ( Trinidad are compatible), a Studio Composite Jigging handle/arm combo on both and they are fish fighting machines.
Fishing for bling too...AliExpress for cheaper Ray Studio upgrades per example... CF drag star is $34.90- $40 cheapest on EBay and AliExpress is $24 shipped
I can say that I had a pretty good squidding season in May then it dried right up completely to zip zilch by end of May. That way all summer ! Fluke was tough, but landed a few though short of any doormats.
BSB was so good this year for my friends and I that I would say it was the best I have...
The Trap is out of the 4:9:1 in righty , I missed out. At least I got a heads up on what sound like a great line suggestion and put in an order along with gaining some good knowledge from this thread. Sticking to hotroddding the Abu 4600 for now , found some 3:8:1 gears.
Mine is perhaps a week or two into March...As you stated not much Flukin going on these days. However, these are the dangerous times for spending. The jonesing is real this time of year!!!
One really has to watch those listings as they varied from $50 plus $8 shipping to the $33 including ship...
