    I would have been too young to remember that specific incident. But I do remember flying the DC shuttle a few times. They actually let me in the cockpit of a Lockheed Electra on one flight. I also remember the '70s as a busy time for hijackings planes to Cuba. Different times.

    There's always cr@p around the bridges to grab your gear. We really haven't had any issues with cable crossings anchoring on the West side of the Meadowbrook. There's still a chance of snagging some junk with your tackle, but it's pretty minimal. The Wantagh, OTOH, is a lot more challenging...

    Sounds like they were sitting pretty. "The" famous jingle you say. When I picked up the first couple of cases, the guy behind the counter insisted we sing the jingle together. "C'mon you know it." Sadly we knew both of them. That one, and Schaefer City. Marketing. It's a thing.

    They're certainly my favorite. Did you know there's only three actual manufacturers of batteries. East Penn is one of them. Deka is their house brand. Most battery brands people swear by, like Interstate (or West Marine :rolleyes:) are just rebrands of one of the three makers.
