    My snapper popper rigs include a 1/4oz shiny tin and a teaser on a dropper loop six inches higher. if snappers are there I get a few. killie bucket can only keep a few alive anyway even with being over the side.

    I only surfcast for bass and only with lures but I am sure that fluke and weaks would eat them as well. Hopefully in ten days or so I am livelining snappers. Between the heat and wind I haven't fished since Monday.

    agreed. I can't really catch them with a popper rig for transfer to a killie bucket until the 20s of July. I still have no idea what I saw jumping.

    4 inches of rain in the last 24 hours here. should be a LOT of storm drain water hitting all my usual spots overnight and tomorrow morning. Edited to add : my pool's chemistry is way off now :(
