I agree with all points. What has frustrated me the last few years is the winter fishing situation. Recs. are basically shut down. Nothing to fish for legally in NY after tog season. Mike. Swinging for the fences was ingrained during the age of glass rod blanks and monofilament line! Granted when we started using braid we ripped the lips off more than a few fish, the thought of a gentle hookset will always seem foreign to me!- OVERBORED

You're right. Commercial fishing has nothing to do with this seasons lousy fishing. I guess hammering the scup all winter to the tune of 50,000lbs in a 15 minute tow repeated day after day is sustainable.............- OVERBORED
