    At MarineMax on Venice Island the other day diesel was almost $1 less per gallon then gas. I thought that was very odd.

    The inlet out of Punta Gorda, Boca Grand Pass, is arguably THE BEST place on earth to have a shot at a trophy Tarpon. With May probably being the best month. It’s insane fishing that inlet at that time. Big Tarpon congregate there, and feed on Pass Crabs.

    Ran deep today out to about 175’ for the opening day of Red Snapper season. No keeper Red Snapper but 3, or 4 Red Grouper and a bunch of Lanes again. The sky’s opened up on us with torrential downpours when we got back to the dock so no pictures today.
